My dog is a Lab. She is also, contrary to all Labrador instincts, absolutely petrified of water. Now, this may be partially due to a near-drowning experience while canoeing the Colorado river. Or maybe she's just wired that way. Either way, water makes her panic and refuse to go outside until it's over. Luckily for me she's got a bladder of steel and can wait out the flooded NYC streets without flooding my apartment.
